The significance here is the size of Samsung and the amount of market research they do before they launch a new product. they clearly discovered that the Indian market needs a new platform, a new generation of apps that are effective and economical. and bingo... they bring this one.
This has the power to change the direction of the sector in my view... a beautifully looking phone from Samsung for only $99 loaded with the good features and apps is what the doctor ordered.
Samsung must have discovered that too many similar Android apps is just a dilution of the same thing, and only work to confuse the ordinary user, now they are setting the standards even higher and opening the doors for the future.
