I hope you are right about what will happen to MSB once it becomes a calculable investment.

It is my intention to invest BIG at about the same time I suspect you will. But unlike you I'm prepared to lose what I have now. It would hurt but I would get over it.

I find it churlish when people talk about how much money/shares they have. Nevertheless, like a lot people here I own my own house and a modest portfolio of investments. I suspect there are many on these threads who are considerably wealthier. Currently, there are 645,420 shares on offer. That is roughly $1.2m. Am I the only one here who could afford to buy the lot?
You've said on a different thread that High Frequency Trading (HFT) doesn't affect you. Do you think that if you and me and others here tried to buy a reasonable number of that $1.2m that it still wouldn't affect us? Do you believe that the HFT algorithms wouldn't pick up the a sudden surge in demand for MSB and buy that entire $1.2m in significantly less than the blink of an eye? You've already mentioned not minding missing out on the first 100% to 200% in a long term investments. Do you not think that the HFT algorithms wouldn't be able to work out just how much you and me and others here would be willing to pay; it wouldn't just be a few cents per share. I think believing that is naive.

You have in previous posts talked about the difference between investing and punting (by which I understand you mean: gambling). Is owing a casino gambling? I believe it is. So am I gambling by owning MSB shares now? I believe I am.
But I believe, that like owing a casino, I am gambling with the odds on my side. I believe the gap up will be very significant and very much greater than the odds of the science failing.

You probably disagree, and I hope you are right because I'll be buying at the same time, but I believe the SP will gap up to $10 if the Q3 CHF review for overwhelming efficacy proves that it is just that; overwhelmingly efficacious. I believe the chances of that happening (i.e. early approval of the CHF treatment) are about 50%.

If someone offered you 5:1 on a coin toss would you take it?

The point being, is that I don't believe there is such a thing as risk free investment; only differently risked investments; for differently weighted rewards. The trick is finding the right balance, and there a volumes written about that.
