Reminiscences of Hardman

I was thinking about what Stuart was saying about the impending flow test
of the Kingia and how he stated he he believed it would “ flow like the clappers”
and in the recesses of my memory trying to recall where I had heard that phrase
before. Then I remembered and perhaps old HDR hands like 618 may recall
that I am pretty sure Ted Ellyard used that phrase prior to flow testing of the
original Chinguetti well off Mauritania. As history showed, although the initial
excitement in HDR was centred on Mauritania, the big bonanza find was in
the side-show that not many paid much attention to in Uganda. As one of the
earliest punters in HDR in the sub-10c days,I:m hoping to get hit by lucky
lightning twice in a happy repeat of history lol!
