Vanadium redox batteries seem a perfect fit for the Renewable Remote Power Generation (RRPG) (http://www1.sedo.energy.wa.gov.au/pages/rrpgp.asp).
I like the bits:
"..... up to $20 million available for eligible projects"
and:
"Rebates available
The Renewable Remote Power Generation Program provides rebates of up to 50% of the capital cost of renewable energy systems including:
• Renewable energy generating equipment such as photovoltaic arrays and wind turbines
• Essential enabling equipment such as power converters and energy storage systems
• Essential non-equipment expenditure such as design and installation. "
Combine this money with that proposed to come in to PCE after the AGM on Thurs and you have a cashed up company ready to go after the prize high visibility projects. These projects will establish VRB's as the power storage system of choice for RAPS, power conditioning at end-of-line and peak shaving in Australia.
Add this programme to the Solar Cities programme (http://www.greenhouse.gov.au/solarcities/index.html) and we are looking at a huge business going forward.
