There is no escaping the reality that BUD has been an appallingly run company since the start. What started out as a venture looking to own big data and be a key player in the IOT has resorted to selling light bulbs! To me, the LIFX venture is the last chance saloon.

Many of the BOD lack anywhere the skills, experience or intellect to fulfil their roles. How does running a suburban Adelaide legal firm get you on the board of a supposedly global pioneering tech company? How does being semi-retired after having a career in the Adelaide corporate world, without any relevant tech experience get you on the board?

This is a key reason why the company has floundered, there is inadequate experience or people to hold the executive team to account.

There is massive potential in the company, but sadly very little in the leadership.
