I note your concern that disrespectful comments are being made about our elected leaders.

Firstly I never elected a leader. I have elected representatives in the local, state and federal elections. In each case I was given a choice between a handful of shaved monkeys, buffoons, spivs and fools. I chose the ones who promised to do least damage.

I have lived in a place where there was an appointed leader and disrespectful comments could not be made about him. This did not lead to more respect or a better leader.

I demand the right to be able to say disrespectful things about any politician or group of people. Those who don't like it now probably found no fault with the Howard Haters. Suck it up; what goes around comes around.

Bob Brown's references to One World Government and Hate Media scare me. The term "hate" has been used as a precursor around the world to reduce freedom of speech.
