Well for a start none of those are races. Anglo's are not historically a race which has suffered from racism. Slavs on the other hand have but rarely from Anglo's which is why the "majority" in those countries don't care about racism directed at them.
A problem is that most people have no idea about Asian, Middle Eastern, South American or African countries. Thus if people see someone with a racial heritage from the Middle East they will assume a certain religion and nationality. This in turn leads people to hate the trifecta of Nationality, Religion and Race. A wealthy, secular third generation Saudi-Australian is just as likely to get shouted at by bogans as a "boat person". Something is wrong here. It has little to do with policy but there is still a group which argues migration policy on racial lines.
This in turn drowns out the majority who want what is best for the country on either side. Anyway Rudd v2 and Abbot brought the bogans in line so the centre-left accepted tougher migration policy.
