Sydney - Commsec have removed AAE from my Commsec account as well but it doesnt mean I can claim a tax loss. The shares are just no longer part of the CHESS system.
I received a letter from Computershare to say that my holdings has been transferred from the Chess system to Issuer Sponsored. They also gave me a new SecurityHolder Reference Number.
If you didnt get this advice you need to contact Computershare on 1300 850 505 and explain your situation. They will be able to locate your new SRN number etc.
I still think you cannot claim a tax loss yet. Just because they are no longer on Etrade means nothing. Is the same with my holders being deleted from Commsec.
