Yep, a few beers is the answer I give when I get pulled over by the cops and get breath tested. A few beers is what I tell me mates I've had when I've been at the Cas' for 12 hours and ended up a the parlours at 4.00am.
So you're correct, a 'few' needs to be taken in context to understand the full meaning.
So in our instance, a few weeks, means a feeeeeewwww weeks mate.
Sorry for the attempted humour, just shows my inability to propose a decent argument.
