Maybe because Phase 2 is still a year+ away so they are purchasing something they can get a hold of for starters. But definitely would have been nicer to of seen it at $500 but that would be to close to what end users are paying currently averaging at $600 as mentioned in xRotty's post so it would of had to be enticing enough for people to purchase it. But there is a lack of information on this subject I hope an announcement gets released on it to clear things up for sure!
