See the Dec 27 2023 announcement of the MGE investment into Tetra4 of R550m = AUD43.4m for 5.5% of Tetra4. That valued the remaining 94.5% of Tetra4 held by Renergen at about AUD750m at the time.
Today R9.45b is about AUD790m and with about 150m shares on issue about AUD$5.27/share.
So with the upcoming Nasdaq IPO I've been pondering how they'll get to this MGE valuation precedence. About US150m needed for the initial Nasdaq ipo is bugger all for large US investors so maybe they can raise more like an extra US$150m and use that extra money for a share buyback of jse and asx shares for anyone interested in the offer at the ipo shareprice level hopefully about AUD$5.27/share for instance. Would get more shares over onto the Nasdaq and decimate any shorts on the jse as a nice side bonus..
