My take on all this (and I could be completely wrong here) is that the stock is being sold off to b*ggery prior to US listing. This means that the instos and big players get to buy more shares for their investing dollars.
Big question is: who is doing the selling?
Does Ivanhoe want out now? (I would have thought it strange but maybe they want to put the cash elsewhere.)
I suggest all this as an alternative to the “there’s something gone badly wrong at the plant and they haven’t told us yet” theory.
God forbid.
