Interesting grey area indeed!
Decisive factors do not only include WACC (cost of recapitalisation, cost of debt), also
cost/disadvantages of dilution,
impact of the pre-sale on future revenues (depending on the size of the reserve and development of the helium spot price),
debt/equity ratio,
regulatory advantages/disadvantages/risks,
the marketing side/public awareness generated and its benefits for the company…
Independent of the fact whether Renergen is a buy, this is a very interesting case to watch and see whether/how it influences other companies’ funding decisions.
