    The answer is simple.
    There has to be baseload power generation capacity of 100% of requirement.

    This baseload needs to be able to be flexed up and down as the so called renewables vary.
    The only power generator that can do this is a gas fired Siemens Gas turbine, where instead of boilers driving steam turbines, which take up to 24 hours to vary their output, a gas turbine can come on line in one minute.
    Do you think any Governments are looking at this??
    You bet your ass, they are not.
    Established technology, can be installed in 1 month.
