    I agree on that Pear . The politics that has got in the way of the renewable energy transition is the biggest issue by far . And the blame goes to all sides of politics on that one .

    That said , the politics are a symptom of lobbying by various groups that don't have the interests of all Australians at heart .

    I have posted before on why we don't exploit our natural resources rather than exporting them . Things like steel making where we export all the required ingredients required to make steel and then buy it back . It make no sense to me .

    I know we can't compete in some circumstances because of our regulatory environment but surely our natural advantages should at least equalize if not outweigh that ?

    It appears that the GFG Alliance group is going to do that with the old Arrium mill in SA . Maybe they will set the example for the rest of the country if it works out ?
