Not talking about other countries, old mate.
Not talking about other countries that have long established nuclear support industries.
Not talking about other countries that want to build nuclear weapons.
Not talking about countries that don't have the vast amounts of renewable resources like Australia and the land to utilise them.
Etc.
Just talking about good old Straya and how nuclear power isn't at all practical here.
Instead of waffling and making excuses, why don't you state your case with facts ?
1. How long would it take to get the legislation changed ? Give the recent referendum result l suspect it would take a very long time.
2. Once the legislation is changed , how long would it take to establish a nuclear support industry similar to that of nuclear countries ?
3. How much would all that cost ?
4. Once all that is done , how long would it take to build one baseload nuclear power station ?
5. How much would that power station cost ?
6. Where would they get the water from ?
7. Which council or community in Australia would host a nuclear power station ? Considering that people are losing their minds at wind turbines that they can't see how do you think you'd go building a nuke anywhere in Australia ?
8. Where will you store the toxic nuclear waste and used nuclear equipment for thousands of years ?
9. Who will pay for that storage and security for thousands of years ?
10. How would that nuclear power station compete in the market with renewables when mature coal fired power stations can't in 2023 ?
11. While we're waiting multiple decades for all that to happen what we do for electricity ?

None of those are problems & all matters can easily be addressed.
Unlike wind & soalr that CANNOT make power 24/7/365 & the planet CANNOT produce the materials required...resulting in increased prices for precious resources....reducing the living standard.
We need cheap, reliable power...Nuclear is the way forward.
