    "The UK has seen unacceptable costs in just paying the producers to stop producing power as the system can't cope, the latest being three million pounds a day not to produce."

    Doesn't make sense/ If there is an oversupply of electricity then their power prices must be very cheap compared to ours. Also the poms have a couple of pretty heavy duty power cables going over to Europe's coal/nuclear plants for when their renewables are working enough.
