Putting extra clothes on. Yes...dress for the weather. People can't expect a 2400w heater per room and dressed in t shirt.
Sitting around a table using one light. Sensational exaggeration again. Time people start thinkung. 40w/50w globes that equate to 60w/75w cost as little as $2. Divide 1000 by the wattage and that's how many hours it can run before costing one unit (kw) of power.
In WA a kw is about 23c....a smoke costs 75c
Sure...it's a rise from the 12c/kw we were used to...but it's hardly extortion at 23c.
