if you look at these 'every nation' ----------- take the biggest - China
what do we see
- China is building more renewable energy than all of the rest of the world combined
why? because China wants to clean up and to reduce emissions
- China is also building more coal fired stations
why? Because China also knows that it MUST keep the power going for people, business and government
emissions might be the driver - but it is NOT 'the priority'
anyone who thinks they can throw out power security because they have a higher priority of less emissions is crazy.
Look at what will happen TO emissions - IF there is a power deficit. What will happen?
I suggest that we'll have monster emissions to cover the stuffup
every man and his dog will have a genny out the back - and, you want emissions - oh, boy that'll do it.
It's the same as what I argue for climate change - if people believe in mmcc - well, that's fine
but, what will happen when entire areas have to be relocated away from risks of extreme weather -------
does anyone understand how much emissions are created when you relocate entire towns and cities?
The Philippines just had 4 ----- yes 4 typhoons ------------------- IN 4 weeks
imagine the amount of emissions created when the damage is repaired there -
do we think that anyone will be concerned about their priority of emissions when they need a genny to run their fridges and they need concrete to rebuild their houses and shops??
no ------- why? --------- because emissions are in fact - NOT the priority. Keeping power going and what it does ------------ is.
Think about Tassie - think about what would have happened in emissions world - if when they brought in hundreds or thousands of large diesel generators -
how much emissions that would have caused if they had had to switch them all on?
it would have been ridiculous --------- luckily - it rained 'just in time'
One has to look at what is doable - what is possible. That's why China is building coal fired power stations and huge amounts of renewables, at the same time.
Coal is a possible for Australia - the only thing making it impossible is politics.
Nuclear - isn't possible. For a multitude of reasons.
