That we have not heard from the Engineers or been investigated.''
I don't say that nuclear is not doable.
I say that nuclear is not doable by 2035 ------- that's a very big difference.
There are far more reasons than engineers can come up with that make nuclear impossible in that timeframe --------- politics for a start -
it has to be made legal federally ---------- do you see that happening whilst Labor is in power? No - then, goodbye to at least 1 year.
If Labor is returned - then, goodbye for 5 years.
If the Liberals win government next year --------- will they control the house and the senate? ------ highly unlikely. If they don't control both - what are the chances of overturning the nuclear ban? Zip.
That's one bit of the political puzzle. Then
There's the states - do you think they are all going to fall over for nuke? - probably not a snowballs chance in hell - but, if they do - do you think it will happen instantly or will it take years? --------- I suggest that it would take many many years.
ok - only two bits of the puzzle so far --------- now, how are you looking to get nuclear up and going by 2035 ?????
pfffffffffffffffffft
and if you think all the above is doable - then, we can discuss things like cost, funding, location security, waste storage, availability of resources etc etc etc
all done and dusted and get nukes on the ground by 2035 --
11 years away ----------------------- you think it's possible????
I had more chance of picking this years Melbourne cup winner
