I'm not particularly bitter about losing out that time. In fact it has taught me a crucial lesson - never jump into an investment without verifying facts fully. I was told back then BOC was trading at a discount to NTA, so I did some quick scanning of the ann. report to back this up. I never bothered to break down the balance sheet - which of course can lead to disaster.

If I had the opportunity to sell at 22c, knowing what I knew today, I still would have had no hesitation selling. I base my decisions on fundamentals, and they are telling me this stock is worth 12.5c at the moment. Sentiment is unpredictible - I'm not a gambler. I prefer not to wait around to see if another tip sheet somewhere dumps their subscribers on BOC.

In any case you may think its worth 45c, I think its worth 12.5c - but I just thought I should alert people to know exactly what they're getting into.
