There does seem to be some interest in Falcon of late although turnovers are not huge. The steady increase in the price probably reflects a lack of sellers as much as anything, and an increased appetite for risk in the market. However buyers are unlikely to pay these sort of prices without some good prospects in the wind.

Without the benefit of inside information one is forced to speculate.

It is unlikely there has been any on the ground drilling at Saxby given the depth of the earlier "show". To drill that would require significant preliminary work and a hefty financial commitment so positive results there are unlikely to be the reason. However there has probably been further preliminary aerial survey work undertaken and maybe some results are due here.

Collurabbie seems to be languishing because of BHPB's focus on other issues. It may no longer be considered the "world class" project BHPB seeks. That is not to say FCN could not make a go of it as a smaller scale project. Maybe, just maybe, BHPB and FCN are working on a deal to pass management back to Falcon which would see a surge in FCN's prospects I suspect.

A third prospect could be the new ground pegged by FCN in the Gawler Craton is exciting interest.
