"if they remain heavily invested in IGR it just occurred to me: I wonder whether they've been shorting the stock down? If so, they might be in deep schtuck."

It is interesting you say that Fredo

I have been thinking along similar lines.

Since the free fall in the price of IGR from 60 cents, I went searching for changes in substantial shareholder notices to try and see who was abandoning ship.

The only notice available is the recent one by Renaissance where they admit to selling about 2 mill shares, taking them to just under 5%.

The move down was certainly an informed one, well ahead of the actual collapse in the gold price. The volumes would have suggested that other substantial holders might also be liquidating. If not, maybe it was a last attempt by someone to accumulate before it gets really interesting????

Is there anyone who regularly monitors share register changes who can help to clarify the situation?

    Cheers
    Nev
