the final table, the extension
(my daughter bought the tables from deceased estates, these last 2 tables were in the same family for over 70 years when she purchased them in 2004)
this one was a challenge....
plus the first time with the large sander created some damage...
the 'before' photo is only a partial shot of the good end...it was the other end of the table that had substantial damage
I had not decided to restore at that point, then started the process without taking a good 'before' shot
now for the 'after' shots...the top left of the table is the problem
the table is almost 200 cm long and 100 cm wide, so think I will take my time to resolve this problem, on this one
I have painted, enhanced the dark pattern to cover up the damaged parts, and am considering keeping it for my own use, although how many dining tables can one keep
