    re: rent now, buy later I don't know much about housing prices per se, but came across a great story the other week re investment units / rentals.

    Someone I know who is renovating their home, went down to the docklands (Melbourne), to look at renting for a year or so.

    Upon inspecting the 2-3 bedroom masterpiece in a building with a tennis court, gym, spa & sauna, he was told the rental was about $800 -$900 per week.

    He offered $300 and was told he could have a 1 year lease at $325 per week if he signed that day!

    Property bubble? What property bubble?
