    Can I just say, bottom line is that real estate is a bloody good asset to have in building up your investment/asset portfolio. Obviously owning/buy a property directly means if makes up a big potion of it until you have $1-2million.

    The are many benefits of owning a home as PPOR in addition to it being a secure asset but some of those benefits are not so important to some people so they rent but own investment property.

    Quite sure I mentioned before that most people with any reasonable amount of wealth will own there own home or at least have money invested in property.

    I doubt anyone is suggesting that, most people that are renting do so because they can't afford to buy. Heaps of reason for why that might be
