You must be very young and have no family FatB because there is no freedom in renting, slogging to pay the landlord, rents rising, can be thrown out in short notice, cant do anything with the property....

In contrast, i bought my first property, "which i still own" on outskirts of major city.Paid 95K for it, solid old stone home on 7 acres 1 minute drive to suburban train access to city, etc etc etc, paid it of 15 years ago and pay no mortgage whatsoever, Have since gone on to bigger and better things.

Renters on the other hand have to line up and plead their case to unscrupulous greedy landlords, and you call that freedom lol
