    The old rent/buy argument has never looked so good in the renter's favour.

    If you need to pay tens of thousands of dollars to a bank because you cannot save then you are financially inept.

    Who'd want to work for a bank for 30 years to go and live in derrimut or craigieburn or melton in a cheaply built house on some destitute land when you can live in the city for half the price and save your pennies.

    All it does is put pressure on your marriage/relationship because your living somewhere you don't want to be only where you can afford.

    Why do you think there's been a boom in patrons out there at the over 28's nightclubs. The chase for quick money and pressure to keep up with the house ownership stigma is driving couples apart.
