With the basic wage at about $20 per hour plus on costs it seems ridiculous that renting a property worth over a $million should still be rented out for the price of a Pizza & a beer every day for 24 hours of having a secure roof over your head.
Repairing a house costs over $50 - 100 per hour yet renting in most cases might only be $30-50 per day and sometimes getting big problems with tenants who can do $1000's of damage in an hour.
So imho most tenants & governments have got little to complain about the cost of renting accommodation and their belief that Negative Gearing if a great tax advantage. It is Not.
