Bung the rents up and this is what you risk... pissed off tenants who think they're being ripped off. A tenant who cannot afford to go out or even eat whilst paying a landlord 'overs' compared to what it used to be is a dangerous tenant, a pissed off tenant. There's two losers here... the landlord is going backwards if not out the door and the tenant cannot afford to live on their income.
So we have a loser on both sides of the equation... the landlord stands to lose the most, who'd have thunk it eh?
