Don't know if you all have received the latest letter from the Chairman asking to support the renuneration report. I for one find it offensive to support such large increases in pay when the share price has more than halved in recent times. They should have reduced their pay not increased it!
The chairman has the gall to say that the pays are "commercially and ethically responsible and supports our objective of providing sustainable returns to shareholders" and that the case against the remuneration was 'coordinated by an ex-Qantas employee' no doubt a disgruntled one. I say, what about all the disgruntled shareholders! And where is this alledged return to shareholders? I dob't know about you, but in my experience any CEO who presides over a value loss (including reputation)such as has happened at Qantas usually gets shown the door and not a pay rise.
Let's send a message here - I'm voting against everything!
