you know very well when retail fails unemployment will follow, to suggest that its got to happen imeadiatly or not at all is just crayz talk.
you can look at the 2006 - 2008 statistics and you will see employment failing right off the back of failing retail, which we all know is why rudd handed out $900 to everyone and the RBA slashed rates was to save the jobs being lost from failing retail!
you can also go to the RBA website and look at the history of interest rates, they are at all time lows for the last 50 years. it doesnt get any lower than this outside their temp one off emergency rate
you think interest scraping the bottom of 50 years is a normal level do you?
