    I hope you're right.

    But, my experience with politicians is that they do the deals they need to do, to get elected. Political expedience, and keeping your partisan base happy, is the name of the game.

    Roger needs the green preference vote, and he also needs his leftwing labour voters in 2025....and again, in 2029.

    I struggle to see this changing. How/why would this current reality ever change? What would make Roger choose to piss off the greens, and risk losing the green preference vote, as well as his leftwing labour voters...for uranium mining?

    Can you explain that? And you must be explain in terms of political cost/benefit? Votes.
