As I have expected, Biota was "forced" to stop progressing the HCV program due to this issue. A conspiracy theory would tell that Biocryst may (somehow) purposefully continue to invest in the program and raise this IP dispute against biota so that Biota is deterred from continuing to progressing this program.

The HCV arena is very hot to the US investors according to the recent acquisitions in the US.


This is very ugly if this is true.


Just my thoughts.
