You're right. These debates are good.
Yes given the climate we are in, LVR probably is more important but given the stabilisation plan that was announced on 15 Jan 09 and given the fact that CNP need CER's equity on its balance sheet, I personally cant see any dilution of capital or going concern issues for CER.
Ive also explained the strength of the Australian and US portfolio in previous posts.
Prior to 15 Jan, LVR was more of an issue for CER than it is now.
The exchange rate is the key factor. I once thought a lower AUD would help CER but this is not the case at all.
We need metal prices to start rising again! This should help push up the value of the AUD. If China continues to take an interest in our resources like they have with FMG, OZL and RIO, I have no doubt the value of the AUD will appreciate sooner rather than later.
