Just some perspective: Empires riser and fall; this is true. However, Consumer consumption is China is (USD)$1 trillion dollars per annum. Consumer consumption is the United States of Amoeba is (USD) 10 trillion dollars per annum.

China is still in growth phase well and truly despite constructing the equivalent of 2 cities of Brisbane per year.

China has a long way to go on the consumption side. Add to that the fact that you actually still have population decline due to the one child policy and young couples forced to take fertility drugs hoping for multiple births and you have a country that won't be outstripping the US in importance any time soon. In 50-60 years maybe.

Also, if you really believe America's days are over perhaps you should review your investment in CER. 441 properties of which only 30 of them are in Australia. The rest are in the USA.....
