Thanks for sharing. Correct me if I'm wrong but i find there is usually some sort of opposition to most mining projects? Which makes sense because the most economic projects are commonly near better infrastructure, and therefore near people.

I also don't think this petition sounds that strong. I can better understand the concern against barging down the river and what that might do to the environment. However, that's why the nob point idea makes so much sense, truck it down the road and barge it to Cape Flattery. I'm no expert, but the whole, "we don't want trucks anywhere near where we live because it could hurt the value of our homes" argument is a bit weak on the spectrum of concerns. I can understand why they feel that way, but that's life. Almost every new mine is going to cause at least some disruption.

Just my opinion. Would be interested to hear if anyone thinks I'm missing something with this assessment.
