elders should engage (instead of playing silly buggers in the press). i took a position, sure: its not in elders shareholder interests for the board to be pulling down the shutters and not even talking.
u make a good point on shareholder value - there are more issues to be explored here - but surely this shouldnt preclude the board from evaluating all serious corporate offers and not clinging to power at any cost.
