    I'm more than curious ..... ????????

    here goes again ..
“They may be classed as independent schools but all are religious and this is taxes going into supporting religion not education ...... it’s completely irrational and fundamentalist.” .... denman

    We get .....

Yak, typically says it is all to do with money ..... those who pay more tax deserve pre-eminence transcendence, importance and privileges such as a trophy education for their dopey children.

sushi1 says “In fact my child goes to a private school, a CATHOLIC school.” and that he, sushi1, takes exception to my comments about the stoopids who promote divisions in education and the community based on religion. Note that my argument is centred on this point because all independent schools are religious. So when sushi says “It looks like about half the school is white and half is a mixture of yellow, black, brown, and mixed. A perfect learning environment.” I need to ask why he overlooks the christian/catholic choice. I was not talking about colour choice but if you are interested have a look at the Netherlands. They have what’s called White and Black schools... say no more. However, Sushi, if we have something in common it is to seek the best learning environment for young people that is enjoyable as well as rewarding but certainly to avoid the cram and jam style favoured in Japan.

Gyro, thinks it is all to do with choice. It certainly is to do with choice .... many choices by all participants to get a sound inclusive education. The INCLUSIVE public system has many choices e.g. single gender, comprehensive, selective, agricultural, performing arts, special needs, special talents, distance, senior, junior, etc schools. Those people that seek choices to do with their paltry values of snobbery, religious division, fundamentalism, race, wealth and school tie coterie privileges are now supported very well by wedgie Howard and indeed by dopey labour governments and this is the problem.

The real choice is what sort of country do we want going forward a few decades?
