Cosmo this has always been the case.
These things cannot be rushed as it will be a huge development so it has to be right.
I honestly don't know why some posters believe that this will be fast tracked.
POO for starters is US$50 and yes some on here believe that even at that price the field is a goer.
Some on here think that everything will be smooth sailing and a given.
Trouble is ATM there is no guarantee oil can be produced at US$30 until it actually happens.
Cairn will not be pushed by anyone to fast track this project and definitely not by the Senegal government.
There are projects all over the world where development has stalled and no company AFAIK has been put under pressure by any of these governments to produce faster.
They have no expertise in these matters and that's why big companies are welcomed to do the hard yards for them.
They have no say in production time spans regardless of what posters say on here.
They don't even have a say in PE either as that's a matter for the J/V
Whoever believes they do are delusional.
Its Africa we are talking about here where corruption is high as in South America.
Third world nations who when are given responsibility stuff it up big time.
Senegal will be no different.
