Results for Disc Medicine just dropped and what a joke! They are LOSING $1 MILLION EVERY 2 DAYS! $176 Million AUD ($109.4 M USD) NET LOSS for last year. They are just running a few phase 1 and 2 trials and some pre-Clinical and their lead product is targeting EPP which Clinuvel dominate and they are valued at $3.1 BILLION which is about 6 Times more than Clinuvel who already dominate EPP and have near term blockbuster opportunities in direct contrast to Disc.
Disc will never compete with Clinuvel in the blockbuster Vitiligo or Tanning Markets because their product simply can't do those things - we don't even know if it will ever work with EPP patients because they flunked the 'time in sunlight' endpoint on their Phase 2 clinical trial where they didn't achieve a significant increase in sunlight exposure so go figure what the excitement is about there? Clinuvel just reported great profit growth once again and I guess with just 4 months left of this financial year there is some nice profit growth coming in the future as they continue printing cash. They are making $1 MILLION PROFIT EVERY WEEK at CUV compared to exceptional cash burn at Disc with their $1 MILLION LOSS every couple of days! How in the world do they attract a valuation ~6 times greater than CUV and if Clinuvel are looking for an American boss maybe they should get this guy because he can certainly attract some investment in a risky looking proposition.
