report on future world energy options

Saw this article on the weekend, put out by the OECD with the IEA listing expected cheapest energy options, albeit with some modelled assumptions:

    http://www.theage.com.au/business/nuclear-not-the-cheapest-path-for-australia-oecd-20100326-r36f.html

Of note are the comments re geothermal in Australia potentially offering the cheapest future option but the distance from transmission lines being critical.

    I hope Canberra is watching.

With the recent ABARE levellised rankings supporting HSA's leading postion compared to other sources including EGS, wouldn't it be great if only we could have a derisked HSA play right under existing transmission lines? Anyone know of one? lol.
