As promised my report of the major points from today's investor luncheon in Brisbane featuring WIN.
David Frances came across as genuinely excited by the WM1 conductor and gave the reasons why, most of which you are aware of. The one thing he enthused about that differentiates the WIN conductor from the myriad of other Fraser conductors was the straight line channel to nova which he believes is significant because it could be a repeat of the Voicey Bay geology. The rock folds and general lay of the land is the same as Nova and suggests a distribution of sulphides along this channel (as it is at Voicey Bay), however this is obviously a theory only until such time as drilling confirms it. The channel at Voicey Bay is about 6 km from the main lode to the outlying distributed lode. The depth of the conductor at 250m is largely the same as Novas main mineralised zone and further supports the channel theory.
Another issue I can clear up is the confusion about the distance from Nova. The conductor is 4kl from Nova and the edge of the WIN ground is 2kl.
The drilling is to start the week after Easter and David does not expect the fist hole to be the discovery hole but rather a way to zero in on the sulphides through maybe a down hole EM.
David went on to talk about the other very prospective ground that contains some very exciting drill targets.
Overall it all sounds an exciting prospect but all hinges on the drill bit.
