The Lynas Advanced Materials Plant construction continues to progress, and subject to receipt of the pre-operational licence, first production from the LAMP scheduled to occur by the end of 2011.
Note.. First PRODUCTION by end 2011 (thats a forcast made only 6 months ago to be PRODUCING NOW!

In Malaysia, construction of the Lynas Advanced Materials Plant (LAMP) continues and was 78% complete at the end of the quarter. SLIGHT delays in final procurement packages and associated delays in construction and contractor resourcing means it is likely that first feed to kiln will not occur until EARLY Q1 2012. Subject to the receipt of the pre-operational licence, Lynas confirms its expectation to be in commercial supply during H1 2012.
Note. 78% , how do they calculate that?? man hours?? SLIGHT delays, FIRST FEED EARLY Q1 2012... commercial supply during H1???? they mean Q2 obviously??

The Lynas Advanced Material Plant (LAMP) in Kuantan, Malaysia, is on the verge of being completed and will be ready to receive the first feed of concentrate from Mt Weld in the first quarter of 2012.
Construction is more than 85% complete and as we gear up for first production, our Ready-For-Start-Up program is largely complete.
Note. So we've progressed 7% in 2 months???. First feed now expected NOT early in the Q1???? ie late in Q1?
Remember that the operating licence should not be affecting the building of the LAMP.
Summary.. In just 6 months we have gone from first production in Q4 2011 to first production possibly in Q2 2012. Thats a 6 month delay!!! hardly minor? At 7% progress in 2 months and 15% to go as at 30 sept2011 till completion it should take another @4.5 months to complete, Add that onto 30 sept 2011 and we come up with 15th FEB 2012??
Anyone got a better idea of completion than that?
