I have been thinking with NR a slow decline with conveyor belt is only a means of extracting the coal. It has great capacity than using the existing shaft so maybe 1.5 million tonne pa to say 4 million.
Im not even attempting to suggest which one is more cost effective than than the other, but what I now think holds true is using the existing mine corridors can still be totally utilised even under slow decline / conveyor belt. So basically the capex wont explored beyond disbelief like say PDZ capex of $700 m plus. Im no engineer, but it just makes sense that if the existing corridors can be mined / used for one means of extraction, it should be able to be used for the other. Thats important.
What may hold back the higher volumn of say 4 million tonne extraction is the size of the mineable reserve.
No other good news other than its raining in Perth and we never see that stuff and i think the dams need it.
