imo You can never be seen as idiotic if youre prepared to explore the balance sheet and do DD.

In your case (ie when your making a genuine effort) the only stupid Q is the one you dont ask.

I am keen on this co but have been out for approx 9 months after shifting strategy based on macro factors (currently weighted heavily Gold stocks).

I'm still following ASZ very closely as I will re-enter sometime near to medium future.

I recall a few acquisitions last 6-12 months--might have put a strain on cash balances??

Perhaps some of the resident ASZ holders (Starr, Mike Mennell, Stefanis etc) can be of further assistance.
