    582, there's been talk --wishful thinking, lol -- about that for 18 months, and BHP did state last year that it looked favourably at a buyback.

    But was legally prevented from executing it because of the RIO takeover.

    The idea was to use its surplus cash --it swims in it -- to buy back shares.

    But borrowing money to buy back shares makes little sense to me.
