COnsensus has been downgraded since August 08 due to a slump in commodity prices, so consensus was really a base floor bottom-of-the-barrel guide. They were always going to beat them.
Question is - where to for BHP in future?
I think some caution wouldn't go astray.. there is no money out there... it's all been spent on stimulus packages.
