Short-sellers are merely one of many subsets of market participants who, like all market participants, sell shares when they believe them to be overvalued and buy them when they believe them to be undervalued.
Surely hat's nothing different to what you and I (and everyone else) does.
Why are shorters more dogs than any other investor trying to Buy-Low/Sell-High are dogs?
Frankly, I like the role shorters play in the market, because their actions deliver shares to me at prices lower than they otherwise might be.
