I think you are right!
A shift in anti coal momentum is exactly what the coal industry needs right now. I know US politics is to a large extent a world away from the Asian supply and demand story, but at some point people will grasp that demand for steel production and coal fired electricity is not going to go away anytime soon.
Albeit, I did hear a Greens Senator suggest "we can live without steel because we can build stuff out of sustainable timber" (save me from jumping out the window...please)
At least Christine Milne must now know why the Greens will remain a meaningless minority.
